The Lead Collection Specialist is responsible for timely follow-up and collection of behavioral health and chemical dependency claims for Inpatient and Outpatient levels of care to ensure timely receipt of payment including but not limited to third party payer receivables. The Lead will work closely with BO Manager and assist with supervising the performance and effectiveness of billing, collecting, and payment posting for the Hospital and Physicians. Under the guidance and in coordination with BO Manager and the Lead position is a point of contact between the facility, insurance companies, and third-party payers to resolve all outstanding owed balances.
