KBR is seeking temporary (six-months) Space Suit Sewing Technicians to support our SPACE SUIT DESIGN TEAM for KBR’s Science and Space division. The Space Suit Sewing Technicians will be responsible for fabrication, assembly and repair of soft-goods components and assemblies. Proficient in the use and operation of the following industrial sewing machines, Straight Stitch (single and double needle), Walking Foot, Bartack, Buttonhole and 3 Thread Rolled Hem Serger. Candidate will be required to complete corporate and contract safety training, familiarization with Total Safety Task Instruction (TSTI) and training on operating procedures and desk instructions. Perform duties in accordance with established flight and training process procedures and work-authorizing documents. Proficient in reading soft-goods fabrication and assembly drawings.
