Job Summary Reporting to and receiving limited supervision from the Director of Sports Medicine, the Associate Athletic Trainer independently performs the full range of clinical athletic training duties. These responsibilities include planning, organizing, and delivering daily athletic training services to student-athletes. The role also contributes to the development and organization of the sports medicine program and provides guidance, training, and direction to less experienced Athletic Trainers. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate athletic training programs and assist in program development, including coordinating training room operations. - Provide work lead direction and training to Athletic Trainer I and newly hired athletic trainers. - Prevent, recognize and assess athletic injuries. Implement preventive and rehabilitation programs to treat athletic injuries using the appropriate therapeutic modalities and treatments. - Develop and administer rehabilitation programs for athletic injuries, including assisting in scheduling and assigning students for therapy. - Use a variety of therapeutic modalities including, but not limited to, heat, cold, light, sound, electricity and reha...
