Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Health Information Management Tech for our Health Information Management Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Health Information Management Tech, you will: - Must maintain a high level of confidentiality, following HIPAA rules and regulations. - Maintain regulatory requirements, including all TJC, CMS, and corporate regulations. - Demonstrates excellent customer service skills to both internal and external customers. - Communicates to management when issues arise. - Independently problem solves and identifies opportunities for improvement. - Completes in-services and educational requirements. - Actively participates in staff meetings. - Promotes teamwork and a positive work environment. - Retrieves all discharged records/ loose patient documentation from Nursing Units and other ancillary departments as required. - Reconciles retrieved medical records against patient discharge lists. - Prep, index...
