Job description

The Mount Sinai Health System is currently seeking a Full-time Psychiatrist for its Emergency Psychiatry services at Mount Sinai Morningside/West. Mount Sinai Morningside and West have storied traditions of excellence in providing healthcare highly responsive to the needs of the local populations while also training superb academic physicians. Among many awards, Mount Sinai Morningside was recently named a leading “Best Smart Hospital” by Newsweek while the Mount Sinai Health System was honored by the American Hospital Association for its efforts to advance diversity, inclusion and equity in patient care. Physician will provide direct care to patients experiencing mental health crises, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and consult to the main emergency department. All sites are academic teaching sites with residents and medical students, affording many opportunities for teaching and mentoring. All sites also have strong linkages with Health Home care coordination, with innovative pilots underway to connect patients to community and crisis services supports.
