Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel Position Description POSITION TITLE : Race & Sportsbook Writer DEPARTMENT: Race & Sportsbook: GRADE/FLSA STATUS : H7--Non-Exempt: BADGE TYPE/COLOR: Key--Blue: REPORTS TO : Supervisor, Race & Sportsbook, and DR Supervisor, Race & Sportsbook SUPERVISES: NA: JOB SUMMARY: Provide excellent service to customers who place a bet at the Race & Sports Book area. Ensure that all customers understand the various types wagers, displays patience with novice customers and engages in friendly conversation with all customers. Process all cash transactions quickly and accurately. JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Greet customers; input betting information into computer; print ticket; accept money and give ticket and change to customers Accurately maintains bank: Verifies winning tickets: Handle and solve any concerns and questions by customers Explain wagering information when needed: Report all pertinent information directly to the /race and sportsbook shift supervisor Maintain and update betting boards or televisions for customers to view Delight our guests with outstanding resort level service which includes creating a fun and exciting envir...
