Job Description Summary Locations: Berlin, Dresden, Erlangen, or Salzbergen (Germany) | English Required | HVDC Control & Protection | Dynamic Performance Study | Protection Coordination Study | AC/DC Interaction Study | Harmonic Stability Performance | PSCAD | RSCAD Job Description: What You'll Do: Core Engineering Responsibilities: Lead the design, implementation, and verification of HVDC Control and Protection systems, with a strong focus on engineering design—not just testing or validation EMT modelling of HVDC systems, AC network equivalents, and renewable systems (wind parks, solar PV, etc.) in PSCAD Convert or model AC network equivalents in RSCAD and interface with control and protection hardware equipment to validate control and protection systems System Analysis & Optimization: Analyze and improve the performance of HVDC Control and Protection systems through: Dynamic performance studies Protection coordination studies: AC/DC interaction studies: Harmonic stability performance: Support tendering, operations, contractual, and after-sales activities including: Analyzing requirements for HVDC protection systems based on customer specifications, grid codes, and international...
