Construction Manager – Early Works

Job description

The Early Works Construction Manager will be responsible for leading the construction teams performing site development. This position must oversee the safe, quality, efficient, and timely execution of work activities including: · Clearing and grubbing· Mass excavation· Grading· General earthworks· Fencing· Temporary facilities installation· Temporary power installation· Concrete foundation installation Responsibilities & Competencies: - This position is the single point of accountability for all construction activities on-site during the early works phase. They are responsible for all safety, quality, and profit/loss of operations during this time. - Success in this role will be measured by how prepared the site is for the structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical teams. - Plan and execute all early works activities. - Read construction drawings, understand specifications, and communicate requirements directly to tradesmen performing the work. - Understand and maintain regulatory compliance for projects.
