Job description

Within the framework of the hospital and nursing service policies and procedures, the primary purpose of this position is to carry out routine and assigned Surgical Technologist tasks and assist the Surgical Technologist with carrying out patient care activities within the scope of training and experience. The individual must possess skills and competencies necessary to provide care to patients ranging in age from neonate to geriatric. Customer service is valued by the individual as evidenced by: 1) being courteous to our customers, which include patients, visitors, physicians, volunteers and fellow employees; 2) introducing self by name and job title when speaking in person or by telephone to patients, their families and others; 3) demonstration of honesty, discretion in conduct, and confidentiality in conversation in all of work environment. The individual follows standards of conduct and procedures of hospital and applicable laws and regulations and reports violations through appropriate chain of command.
