Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP, an AmLaw 100 firm, has an immediate opening for an experienced bankruptcy paralegal in our Wilmington, Delaware, office. This position is responsible for preparing and filing legal documentation in state and federal courts. The ideal candidate has five or more years of experience handling bankruptcy matters in a mid- to large-sized law firm. RESPONSIBILITIES: REQUIREMENTS: - Familiarity with federal and state rules of procedure and evidence for document format, content, filing, etc., and ensuring compliance with court rules. - Prepare, file, and serve documents with state and federal courts through CM/ECF and File & ServeXpress. - Prepare and file state and federal legal documents such as summonses, briefs, motions, responses, agendas, fee applications, proofs of claim, demand letters, bankruptcy petitions and other first-day pleadings, schedules and SOFAs, and discovery-related pleadings for review, approval, and use by attorneys. - Assist with basic legal research, including locating cases, statutes, and regulatory materials; conduct fact research on the internet and private search engines such as Westlaw and Lexis. - Conduct research and prepare i...
