Student - Wellness Intern

Description: The Wellness Intern position is ideal for a student with a lived experience of being in recovery from a mental or behavioral health condition such as substance use disorder, eating disorder, gambling disorder, etc. This position is also a great experience for a student majoring in psychology, sociology, health and exercise science, or any pre-health major seeking to work directly with clients in community health or in community outreach. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Health Promotion and will coordinate the weekly What’s the Buzz sessions as well as supporting other large wellness events throughout the semester. Responsibilities: Requirements : Compensation: This position is hours per week throughout the academic semester with a semesterly stipend of $1000. The hours are flexible to work within the candidate’s class schedule but the ability to attend or ensure the What’s the Buzz program is staffed properly is a requirement. The contract is per semester and can be renewed at the beginning of each semester after mutual agreement between supervisor and student is made based on completion of work, continued interest, and ability.
