Overview Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. To support the mission of Helio Health, the Peer Specialist / Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) assists individuals in recovery with regaining independence in their communities and sustaining their own recovery and improving their overall health. The Street Outreach program focuses on providing evidence-based harm reduction interventions while connecting with people with substance use disorders, not currently engaged in care and at highest risk of near-term death of overdose. As part of the multi-disciplinary team, the Peer Specialist will engage community members with SUDs and their family/social supports in understanding treatment options available and increase awareness of supports and harm reduction practices. The Peer Specialist will work on a Full-Time basis working in the community and out of Helio Health’s Rochester Outpatient Program. The schedule will be Monday- Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
