Production Assistant (Afternoon Shift)

Job description

As directed by the Shift Supervisor or designate, responsible for inspection, handling and packaging of products and assisting the Material Handler or Counter wherever necessary or possible. QUALIFICATIONS: - Must be physically able to fulfill the responsibilities of the job classification through good manual dexterity. - Must be prepared to work in a co-operative environment with other employees in the work area. - Should possess good written and communication skills. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: - To be able separate scrap from good quality products. - To demonstrate the ability to be flexible in product handling and machine attending. Perform required post molding operations and packaging of product. - To be co-operative and supportive with other employees in the work area. - Must constantly work at maintaining a clean, tidy, organized and safe working area. - Be responsible for warning or reporting to the Supervisor, failures or malfunctions in equipment or machines. - Provide assistance to Material Handlers in packaging, labeling, regrind handling and any other related duties. - Must be able to feed product through the press and be able to inspect printed or non-printed products...
