Summary UNM Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a part-time to full-time (0.8FTE-1.0FTE) staff physician to serve as an MDC Site Psychiatrist. In this hybrid position, the Psychiatrist will provide both tele-psychiatric and onsite psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for inmates referred by medical or/and clinical services staff. Provide written summaries of history, diagnosis and treatment course. Staff Psychiatrist will report directly to the site Psychiatric Director. Minimum Job Requirements of a Psychiatrist: - Graduate of an accredited medical school and have completed an appropriate psychiatric residency. - Fully licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment. - Current DEA registration. - Preferably board certified or board eligible to practice psychiatry and has administrative experience in corrections medicine. - Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirement - Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities. - Personal and professional alignment with the values of the Department and the UNM School of Medicine.
