About the TikTok User Growth Department TikTok's User Growth is a cross-functional department (engineering, data science, recommendation/algorithm, product, marketing, operations) that apply a data-driven approach to growth. We work closely to improve the whole TikTok user growth funnel: branding, acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention, across a variety of products. About the Innovative Growth Organization: We own multiple product surfaces to serve the diverse content of TikTok to different users and usage scenarios, including TikTok Webapp (www.tiktok.com ), Vehicle Infotainment Systems (Tesla), and TikTok Tablet apps. We are continually expanding to new surfaces. Together they form an important traffic matrix for TikTok to keep growing its user base and user consumption.
