JOB OVERVIEW: The primary responsibility of the tool crib is to perform various tasks to support the manufacturing operation by organizing all kind of tooling and maintaining a perpetual inventory of all continued items. ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to) - Manages receipt, storage, and distribution of tooling, hand tools, machine tools, materials, and equipment, maintaining manual or computer-based records of issuance and returns. - Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment. - Conducts periodic or perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or via computer. - Unpacks and stores incoming items, requisitioning stock as needed. - Inspects tools and equipment for defects or wear using micrometers, reporting issues to supervisors. - Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment with hand tools or spray equipment. - Delivers tools or equipment to workers using hand trucks, carts, or bins. - Marks and identifies tools with tags, stamps, or electric marking tools. - Collaborates with vendors to set expectations for quote turnaround and delivery times. - Organizes and labels cabinets/shelves by part number. - Creates and updates work instructions for...
