Job Details ChristianaCare is hiring a full-time Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to work in our Vascular Surgery practice at our Christiana Hospital location. This is a hybrid position, predominantly outpatient and periodically inpatient, Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm with no weekend commitment. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Facilitates preparation for patients planned for vascular surgery/procedures. - Facilitates a strong consistent clinical presence in all phases of patient care. - Reviews and retrieves data pertinent to patient’s medical history. - Performs and records physical assessment in response to consult and collaborates with physicians and other members of the medical staff on plan of care. - Screens patient to determine need for urgent medical attention. - Performs consultations, rounds on patients, writes daily progress notes. - Evaluates the need to make changes in patient therapy. - Writes orders and modifies treatment plans. - Prescribes medication with credentials provided by the Joint Practice Committee of the Delaware Board of Medical Practice. - Provides education and instruction to patients regarding care. - Plans approp...
