About this unit The Grosse Pointe Hospital Family Birth Center/Women’s Health Unit is comprised of 11 LDRP rooms, a Triage room, and a Natural Birth Suite. This Natural Birth Suite is used often by our Nurse Midwives and patients who want to enjoy a low intervention birth experience. In addition, adjacent to the FBC is a 9-bed unit that cares for gynecologic and medical patients. We also care for readmitted post-partum patients, newborns less than 28 days old, and low risk ante-partum patients. We are committed to ensuring professional, safe patient-family centered care for all our patients and their families. We have an Obstetrician and Pediatrician that reside on the floor 24/7.
