Job Summary The Philadelphia Inquirer is looking for a creative and digitally-savvy journalist to join its Programming & Audience team, with a specific focus on increasing the reach of our journalism through social media platforms. The Programming & Audience team works on the distribution of The Inquirer’s journalism and engagement initiatives with our community. The Social Platforms Editor will play a key role in getting our journalism in front of the largest possible audience and defining The Inquirer’s tone and style on social media. What You’ll Do: - Help oversee publishing for The Inquirer’s social media accounts, writing, scheduling and producing content across platforms like Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok and others as needed. - Create, edit and repackage video content for social media platforms. - Maintain high levels of creativity, voice, and professionalism while sharing content across The Inquirer’s social platforms. - Translate Inquirer journalism into compelling social media storytelling formats including graphics and social video. - Develop a deep understanding of our social followers, especially their information wants and needs, to make sure interacting with our bra...
