The Opportunity Veolia has an exciting opportunity for an Operator/Maintainer to join our crew at Luggage Point (Pinkenba 4008). Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of a water treatment plant. What's on offer: - 9 day fortnight option - Job security with a global company - Free confidential counselling for you and your family - Strong Team Environment What you'll be responsible for: What you'll need to be successful - Operate and monitor the water treatment plant via SCADA responding to operational and process issues - Undertake first-line routine and breakdown maintenance duties as required - Conduct routine inspections, sampling and testing of water quality - Working within a team environment - Manage work requests and permitting systems - Work order management - Follow safety procedures and help improve how we do things - Supervise contractors when required - Participating in an Operations On Call Roster - Mechanical Trade qualification or solid experience working with industrial equipment - Water treatment operations experience (highly regarded) Why Veolia?: We're a global leader in water solutions, and we look after our people.
