Application Engineer I

Job description

Position Purpose: Create and modify designs to meet the requirements for new or existing customers relating to fitment, function, and application of current products. Essential Functions: - Design and develop new products and make improvements to existing products - Integrate existing designs into customer specific applications - Assist in troubleshooting product and/or process related issues as needed - Support new product development projects utilizing APQP requirements - Participate in generation of engineering requirements, FMEA, and DVP&R documents - Meet with customers, vendors, shop personnel, and office staff to complete designs - Research, process, and perform engineering change requests - Create and modify CAD engineering models and drawings using SolidWorks - Utilize MRP software QAD and PLM software Teamcenter - Finish projects in a timely manner - Perform all other duties as assigned Education and Training: - Mechanical Engineering BSME required Minimum Qualifications: - Two to three year’s manufacturing experience - Two to five years’ experience with engineering drawings - Solid works and AutoCAD experience preferred - Experience using MRP system preferred - Proficien...
