Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Engineer Wharton-Smith, Inc., a highly regarded General Contractor based in Central Florida, is seeking a talented Piping Designer/Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team member to work on projects in the Commercial, Education, Entertainment, and Water Treatment construction markets. Primary Responsibilities: - Prepare piping 3D models using Spec Driven software AutoCAD, Revit, Microstation or BricsCAD - Maintaining effective communication with project teams and subcontractors - Review models, project documents for quality control - Modeling 3D components in AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation or BricsCAD - Production of 2D layout drawings of process piping for field use - Generate 2D piping shop drawings with Bill of Materials for fabrication - Utilize models for quantity extraction • Gather measurements and information in the field - Document management Qualifications: Our recruiting process is centralized and is handled by our HR Department.
