Zola is seeking a high-caliber Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a sharp technical eye for GAAP compliance, and is motivated by the opportunity to scale accounting operations. BACKGROUND: - 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience; a mix of public accounting and in-house experience strongly preferred. - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (active or in-progress). - Strong foundational knowledge of U.S. GAAP and proficiency with ERP systems. - “Builder” Mentality: Find ways to make a process or accounting area better, faster and more accurate. - Advanced Excel skills required. Experience leveraging AI/automation tools a plus. - Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain accounting treatments to non-finance stakeholders. - Obsessive attention to detail and highest level of integrity RESPONSIBILITIES: The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000. This full-time role will be hybrid at our office in NYC (Tuesdays & Thursdays). - Month-End Close: Prepare and post journal entries for key accounting areas including those areas which involve management estimation.
