Medical Center: UH: Transfusion Service- Shift time is 1500-2330 respectively. Shift can vary slighly depending on departmental needs. Recruitment Incentive Bonus: may be eligible for $9,000 recruitment incentive bonus based on eligibility requirements Job Summary: The Clinical Lab Scientist-Transfusion, performs and interprets moderate and high complexity tests, reports results and prepares blood products following standard operating procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices, under general supervision. Monitors pending lists. Meets or exceeds turn-around time goals for test production and result reporting. Performs instrument and equipment calibration, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Serves as a technical resource including problem solving, troubleshooting, interpreting/consulting, and verifying specimen quality and test results. Serves as a preceptor/mentor to students, residents, and staff. Each CLS only performs those tests for which they are authorized and have demonstrated the required skill commensurate with the education, training, and technical abilities.
