Position: Embedded Tutor Department: Academic Affairs: Type of Position: Part-time Temporary: Exemption Status: Non-Exempt: Work Schedule, Hours per week: Varies, 12 hours per week Opportunity for hybrid schedule: No: Starting Salary Range: $15.34: Position Summary: The Embedded Tutor will support JCCC by serving as an academic support personnel member who works alongside instructors in the classroom settings to enhance student learning. Required Qualifications: - High School diploma with successful completion of specific courses. - Must be enrolled in and maintain at least 3 credit hours at JCCC and 2.5 cumulative GPA through the duration of employment in the position. - Good communication skills, including the ability to listen, understand and demonstrate patience when working with students. Preferred Qualifications: - Provide current or previous JCCC math instructor’s information for recommendation.
