POSITION SUMMARY: The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the pristine appearance and health of the Nemacolin's landscaped areas, lawns, gardens, walkways, and outdoor amenities. This role plays a critical part in delivering a five-star first impression and preserving the natural beauty that defines the luxury guest experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and takes pride in maintaining immaculate outdoor environments. In the offseason, the Groundskeeper will transition into a role within the snow removal team to support the property throughout the winter months. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Water plants in greenhouses, indoor displays and landscape. - Maintain healthy attractive plants by deadheading, pruning and fertilizing as needed. - Identify and treat pest and disease problems on plants with integrated pest management techniques. - Weed gardens by hand-pulling or using herbicides as appropriate. - Use and maintain all hand tools necessary for garden maintenance. - Apply chemicals as needed and maintain records as required by law. - Operate and maintain power tools such as leaf blower or string trimmer as needed. - Drive and operate heavy machinery suc...
