Service Manager

Job description

Purpose Responsible for all aspects of maintenance, preventative maintenance, customer service, dispatch, safety, training, inventor and P&L for a service workload branch. Thoroughly documents all aspects of work performed on company owned and operated equipment and vehicles. Duties and Responsibilities: - Forecasts workload based on job schedules and assign work to mechanics, technicians and shop support personnel accordingly through the development of accurate estimates. - Assists with preventative maintenance and repairs in the shop as needed. - Assumes primary P&L responsibility for branch service operations. - Creates quotes for approval, open work orders, assigns appropriate mechanics to complete repairs, order parts from vendors and ensure readiness prior to crane leaving for job. - Opens and maintains purchase order system. - Confers with vendors as to availability of goods, prices, deliveries, discounts and changes in supplies, materials and equipment offered for sale. - Implements current and improved systems and procedures in accordance with company policies for Safety, Operations, Sales and Administrative functions. - Conducts weekly inventory counts and an annual audit...
