Overview Department: Emergency Department: Schedule: Full Time, 36-hours, Mid Shift Facility: Central Maine Medical Center: Location: Lewiston, ME: The Emergency Department RN provides safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The ED RN delivers direct patient care, guides support staff, and provides patient and family education while maintaining professional nursing standards. This role is accountable for patient care in a fast-paced, acute care environment and works closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities: The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry.
