Job description

Position Summary The Pharmacy Tech assists in preparing, packaging, delivering and charging of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.  Accurately fills medication orders with correct strength, dosage form, and quantity in a timely manner.  Assures all medications are checked by a pharmacist prior to dispensing.  Responds appropriately to requests for STAT orders, routine orders, department requests and ADC stock out bulletins.  Refills emergency crash carts, boxes and kits accurately and timely.  Accurately stock ADCs in a timely manner.  Prepackages and labels oral medications and extemporaneous preparations.  Prepares IV sterile admixture solutions and IV products accurately consistent with IV policies and procedures.  Restocks medications in IV room and conforms to IV cleaning schedule  Performs distribution duties and adhere to pharmacy technician operational workflow and delivery schedule  Interprets medication labels to compounds, prepares and maintains records of transactions.  Prepares outpatient prescriptions for revie...
