Join Seymour Whyte for the Beerburrum to Nambour (B2N) Upgrade Project, a major civil infrastructure project being delivered as a joint venture with John Holland and focused on enhancing the rail transport network between Beerburrum and Nambour on the Sunshine Coast. Once completed, B2N will improve the North Coast Line, making travel faster and better connecting the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and Brisbane. KEY DATES AND DURATION: - Following enabling and early works, major construction works have commenced. - The main construction phase is expected to last around two to three years, with completion scheduled for late 2027 (subject to conditions). WHAT THE PROJECT INVOLVES: - Rail Duplication: The core of the project is the delivery of a new, dual-track rail line between Beerburrum and Nambour. - Infrastructure Upgrades: This will also involve associated infrastructure improvements, potentially including the construction of new stations and upgrading existing ones. - Community Benefits: The upgrade aims to improve public transport connectivity for the growing Sunshine Coast region and support the growing population by providing more travel options and diverting traffic.
