Landfill Spotter Laborer

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Landfill Spotter is responsible for ensuring proper placement and sorting of materials and guiding customers safely in the landfill. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Inspect materials and sort items or materials into piles prepping for the Equipment Operator. - Direct Customers where to safely dump their debris at the landfill. - Pull metal and lead items from piles being disposed. - Monitor piles to ensure they are the appropriate size. - Remove items that can be recycled and are not acceptable for disposal at the landfill. - Follow appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) as guideline for operating and maintaining equipment. - Report any worker-public safety factors. - Attend weekly/monthly safety/operations meetings. QUALIFICATIONS: - Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned. - Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro. - Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor. - Ability to follow safe operating practices. - Ability to learn and use interpersonal skil...
