Position Description ERT is seeking a motivated individual to provide network engineering support for NOAA's Satellite Control missions. Duties will include support for mission operations, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and assistance to implement tech refresh and integration for new subsystems. The Network Engineer will be expected to plan and coordinate tasks, identify dependencies, mitigate risks, execute least-impact procedures, perform analysis, implement configurations, and create and update documentation and diagrams. Specific duties include but are not limited to: - Perform routine tasks and execute procedures to operate and maintain network infrastructure hardware and software. - Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve operational problems in the LAN/WAN infrastructure. - Support integration efforts for architectural improvements, new subsystems, migrations, OS upgrades, hardware upgrades, and others. - Document configuration changes in the configuration management system. - Monitor and report device health and status, bandwidth utilization rates, uptime, outage and anomaly tracking, and threat detection/prevention. - Document problem resolution acti...
