This position is eligible for $2,000 retention bonus. Job Summary: The Providence Center Peer Support Specialist Anchor Recovery - Jim Gillen Teen Center works with young people who struggle with addiction by providing individual and group recovery coaching, and facilitating activities and events. This staff member is responsible to help maintain a positive community environment, in which youth and family members are able to develop recovery capital and learn about the recovery process. The Peer Recovery Support Specialist will provide skills training and will assist with resource development. Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 12pm - 8pm, AND Saturday 10am-6pm. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide individual recovery support. Facilitate recovery support groups with youth and family members. Facilitate skills development, through educational training sessions. Provide information and referrals for community based resources. Help lead activities and events, in-house and in community settings. Ensures safety for all participants, by following policies and procedures.
