Req ID: 135944 Region: Americas Country: USA State/Province: Texas City: Austin General Overview: Job Title: Director, Design Engineering: Summary: This position is for a Director, Design Engineering, responsible for leading and managing multiple programs and teams developing the firmware/Software for Celestica’s or Celestica’s customer products. The responsibility includes setting the strategic direction for the team, collaborating with different internal and external stakeholders for timely delivery of the products with the highest quality. The Director will be playing a key role in driving the New Product Initiatives by enabling the team to prepare the technical proposal, estimation and planning. Also the role will demand r egular interactions with executives and major customers. Interactions may involve program readouts, understanding and responding to customer technical and non-technical requirements and also responding professionally and proactively to potential problems/escalations.
