Summary The Lead VIP Interiors Mechanic works under minimal supervision to safely perform aircraft removals, installation, and/or fabrication of aircraft interiors (which may include galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors, seats, and panels). Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Leads the aircraft removals, installation, and/or fabrication of aircraft interiors, maintenance, preventative maintenance, alteration of, or approve and return to service of any aircraft, or part thereof, only for which that Lead is rated and has satisfactorily performed the work concerned at an earlier date. - Oversees and co-signs for uncertified mechanics in accordance with the GTI RSM procedures. - Facilitates On-the-Job Training (OJT) to provide learning opportunities through work assignment and mentoring. - Ensures all tasks are promptly completed in compliance with federal regulations, customer guidelines and company policies. - Uses technical data to order parts and ensure material is effective for aircraft being installed on. - Recognizes unsafe conditions and takes immediate corrective action. - Conducts crew meetings to ensure communication regarding work, safety, and qu...
