Description The School of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering (AME) at the University of Oklahoma is seeking candidates who can bring passion to two teaching-focused positions as Assistant Professor in mechanical engineering. The positions are three-year ranked-renewable term contracts, with the opportunity to advance to the ranks of Associate and Full Professor. The State of Oklahoma is investing in the College of Engineering in support of growing engineering graduates for the state workforce. These positions are embedded in the Gallogly College of Engineering strategic plan for growing enrollment and improving retention. Candidates seeking to work in a rapidly-growing School and College, in collegial interdisciplinary groups, and towards the mission of student success, are encouraged to apply. The successful candidates will be expected to teach a broad range of core undergraduate mechanical engineering coursework, including courses related to thermal sciences and core mechanical engineering.
