HOURLY RANGE: $23.58 - $29.210: DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: The work involves providing direct care to patients in need of emergency care at the Erie County Medical Center (ECMCC). The incumbent provides routine care to emergency room patients and performs other duties as assigned. Work is performed under the direct supervision of a professional or para-professional nursing or medical employee. Does related work as required. TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: Performs venipuncture; Performs pulse oximetry and records measurements; Monitors fluid intake and output;: Performs specimen collections;: Performs point of care testing;: Ensures quality controls are completed;: Complies with infection control policies & procedures and personal protection equipment; Obtains and records vital signs and notifies supervisor of changes; Utilizes pain scale and appropriate intervention when providing patient care; Responds appropriately to life-threatening emergencies;: Provides personal hygiene care including showers, bed baths, shaving, nail, hair and oral care; Provides nutritional needs including passing and collecting trays and nourishments, setting up trays and adaptive feeding equipment, f...
