DEPARTMENT: Fiber: JOB TITLE: Color Technician FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Fiber Team Leader CATEGORY: Machine Operator II SCHEDULE: Monday – Thursday, 7am – 5pm. SUMMARY: With minimal supervision sets up, operates and performs color compound batch assembly and extrusion. Keeps necessary records. Works to written and verbal instructions. Acts to maintain the integrity of processes and final product quality. QUALIFICATIONS: - Weigh, blend and extrude colored pigment pellets for the production of spun fibers - Locate and adjust inventory of raw materials using E-1 programs - Produce fabric samples for review by internal personnel and external customers utilizing the 1” extruder and pilot equipment (draw bench, card, loom and dilo) - Compare samples to target master's on the Datacolor color compounder - Performs oth...
