Senior Accountant

Job description

Position Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing general accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for a growing Home Health organization. This role requires a detail-oriented finance professional with at least 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within healthcare or home health. The Senior Accountant will support month-end close, reimbursement analysis, revenue recognition, and regulatory compliance. Qualifications Required: Preferred: - Lead and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes - Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations - Manage general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with GAAP - Analyze revenue cycles, including Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care - Assist with cost reporting and regulatory filings specific to Home Health - Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis - Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules - Coordinate with external auditors and assist with annual audits - Monitor internal controls and recommend process impr...
