JOB SUMMARY: The position serves as the primary sales person for a larger, more complex property. Responsible for proactively soliciting and handling large group/catering related opportunities with significant revenue potential. Works to develop, build and maintain long-term, value-based group customer relationships in order to achieve personal and team related revenue goals. Depending on needs, may focus on all types of accounts, or can specialize and focus on specific segments (e.g., Corporate, Association, etc.). Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery in accordance with brand standards. Provides service to our customers in order to grow the accounts. CANDIDATE PROFILE: Education and Experience: - High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area. 6 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area. OR: - 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.
