About the Role Join our team as Racecourse Mechanic for one of our prestigious clients, The Melbourne Racing Club. Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a qualified Mechanic to join our team at Sandown Racecourse. You will be responsible, but not limited to maintaining, servicing and repairing plant/machinery and equipment. Your day will be filled with some of the below responsibilities: - Assist in identifying maintenance requirements on small plant/machinery and equipment - Basic maintenance on large plant/machinery such as tractors, turf implements and track mowers - Work on assigned race days including mid-week and weekend meetings - Complete routine service checks of site vehicles, plant/machinery and equipment - Plan and coordinate the setting up of the starting barriers on race days - Basic repairs and maintenance on Starting barriers - Required to work at Sandown Racecourse upon requests - Basic welding and maintenance on track Irrigation machinery - Occasionally weekend work and overtime are required About You: - Mechanical Trade Certificate required - Experience with maintenance and repairs on such as tractors, turf implements and track mowers - Experience servi...
