Description The Diesel Technician I role is an entry-level position focusing on basic maintenance and inspections of Class 8 trucks and equipment. This role offers hands-on in supporting shop operations, ensuring fleet readiness, and reducing equipment downtime. Summary of Essential Job Functions: - Perform routine preventative maintenance on Class 8 trucks and trailers, including oil changes, tire services, and brake inspections. - Perform P.M. Inspections to ensure DOT requirements are met - Assist senior technicians with more complex repairs and diagnostics. - Follow standard safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. - Accurately document all maintenance activities in compliance with company policies. - Other Duties as Assigned Requirements: Required Skills and Qualifications: - Graduation from an accredited Diesel Technician program. - A minimum of 1 years of experience with basic maintenance and inspection on Class 8 equipment. - Proficiency with diagnostic tools and an in-depth understanding of Class 8 vehicle systems. - Must have a toolbox and familiarity with its proper use in a maintenance environment. - Foundational knowledge of diesel engine sys...
