Job description
Position Function: The Neurosurgery/Neurology (NNS) Residency at Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine consists of advanced clinical training in medical and surgical aspects of canine and feline neurology. There will be opportunities for the residents to consult on neurologic cases in large animals and occasionally wildlife and exotic species. The resident will work closely with the three faculty neurologists, and other neurology/neurosurgery residents, interns, and the students on the NNS rotation to provide the highest quality of patient care. Salary Grade : 12: Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department. Area of Specialization: Neurology Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All NNS residents will attend weekly didactic rounds. These will include resident rounds with additional monthly or bi-monthly rounds including neurology journal club (in conjunction with 3 other university NNS groups), NNS topic rounds, neuropathology rounds, and neuroradiology rounds.
