Description Title: Mold Technician: Department: Set Up 5020: Reports To: Production Supervisor: FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt: Job Summary: The Mold Technician is responsible for setting up and maintaining production equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations. The position will work closely with production teams to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and that production runs smoothly. Must follow Altor Solutions’ standards for Safety, Housekeeping, Quality and Production in an efficient and safe manner. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Maintain a safe work environment - Develop the molding process for each tool to run optimum cycle times while producing high quality products that meet the standards of the customer. - Improve Quality of Products molded through improvements to the molding process - Reduce costs through reduction of scrap rates on each tool - Work with Operations and Engineering to make specific recommendations on details of NEW tooling construction including but not limited to filling device and ejector type and location.
