Description The Division of Infectious Diseases and Immunology, in the Department of Medicine, is seeking a Hospital Epidemiologist at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. The position is based at NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue, the flagship public municipal hospital of New York City and a major teaching affiliate of the NYU School of Medicine. As Director, Infection Prevention and Control , your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: - Provide leadership on the establishment and implementation of the infection control program; - Chair the Surveillance Team and provide direction and guidance in the activities of the team; - Chair the Infection Control Committee; - Maintain liaison with the Bellevue Microbiology Laboratory, the New York City Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control, the Health and Hospitals Corporation, and the infectious diseases consultants in Medicine and Pediatrics; - Provide lead...
