VHIR offers a position for a Postdoctoral Researcher within the Laboratory-JI/Cardiovascular Diseases Research Group. Required: Desired: - Postdoctoral researcher with a BSc in Biology or Biotechnology (minimum grade 7.5) - Master’s degree and at least 3 years of laboratory-based experience - Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English - Completed Master’s degree in Translational Medicine - Knowledge of statistics and experience with software such as GraphPad, R - Minimum of 3 years of experience in metabolism research - Prior specialization in basic research projects in Cardiology. The following consolidated experience is required: - Techniques for characterizing cardiac remodeling and heart failure in experimental models - Maintenance and management of transgenic mouse colonies - Metabolomic analysis using stable and radioactive isotopes - Isolation of cardiomyocytes and fibroblasts from murine hearts - Cell culture of established cell lines (HL-1, H9c2) and primary cultures of cardiomyocytes and fibroblasts - Recruitment and collection of patient samples - Studies of intracellular calcium dynamics using confocal microscopy - Experience in scientific writing and publishing Main respo...
