Job description

Registered Nurse functions under the supervision of a physician and performs delegated functions such as planning, preparing and setting up for cases, and managing supplies and equipment. The work that is performed is done under the established policies and procedures of the institution and according to the experience and scope of educational requirements of the individual and applicable legal guidelines. The RN will be expected to anticipate the needs of the patient and physician and make decisions within the scope of their practice. The Registered Nurse responsibilities pertain to the clinical responsibilities required for direct preoperative and postoperative patient care. Qualifications: Graduated with an associates or bachelor’s degree in nursing. Previous Cardiology experience preferred. Current licensure in State of Alabama as a Registered Nurse. Good verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills, and time management skills. Knows sterile technique.
