FlexStaff is seeking a Senior Accountant with manufacturing and cost accounting experience for our client, a manufacturing company in Melville, NY. This is a permanent, direct hire, full-time position on-site at their location in Melville. The Senior Accountant will perform general and cost accounting functions. Provides program cost analysis. Prepares analyses as well as accounting reports according to GAAP. Responsibilities: - Provide technical advice and guidance according to Federal/State Regulations and GAAP. - Gather financial information to prepare journal entries - Prepare monthly & quarterly financial package - Responsible for monthly detailed analysis of major GL accounts. - Gather information and prepares various audits and gov’t surveys. - Maintain intercompany billing and reconciliation. - Weekly and monthly Cash Forecasts. - Support, review, & reporting of program finance EACs, ETCs, Manpower Requirements, & Material Disbursement. - Provide ongoing visibility regarding the current and forecasted status of program cost and schedules through in-depth qualitative/quantitative analysis of performance vs. plan data - Prep of various program control plans and reports, finan...
