What You'll Do: Administers employee health and welfare plans company wide. Benefit programs include medical/dental/vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, workers' compensation, leave of absence, Flexible Spending (Section 125), etc. Acts as liaison between employee, insurance providers and to resolve benefit related problems and ensure effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations. Manages annual open enrollment period including distribution of materials from carriers, communicating changes to employees and arranges for on-site representation by benefits broker. Processes changes within deadlines. Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications. Serves as the Cobra liaison for 3rd Party Administrator.
