To learn more about Emerson Academy of Dayton click here . Overview: The Special Education Teacher in Training role provides a structured pathway to becoming a licensed Special Education Teacher. For your first ninety (90) days, you will work as a Special Education Paraprofessional while partnering closely with an experienced Special Education Teacher. During this period, National Heritage Academies (NHA) will provide financial assistance for you to complete required coursework and pass the necessary exams to earn your K–12 Intervention Specialist license through the Ohio Department of Education (ODE).
